Old Post Wind Turbines

You may wish to support local landowners/energy companies in their turbine building.  We have been made aware of groups who are actively protesting against the turbine installations.  It is possible that the turbines may encroach on the view from such places as Pentire Head and up the Camel Valley.

Below is a message received from a local resident:

Dear Everyone,

See it or not but most of you will , either Treswarrow turbine, Smeathers turbine or both! Each 77m tall in front of your home or business.

These applications are both at Appeal, this is your only and last chance to fight these two monsters. If we do not win these appeals residents will see marked decline in property values and potentially suffer the effects of Low Frequency noise and flicker.

We are funding a Chartered Landscape Architect to reinforce the Councils Landscape officers reports and objections to these turbines in our valley, next to the AONB,Camel Estuary and Pentire.

Please can everyone give £150 or whatever you can afford towards the cost , a small price to pay compared to the fall in your property value and income based on the beauty and peace of our community.

Any monies left over from the immediate appeals will be spent on a Cumulative Impact Assessment on the pending turbine applications in the Valley.... being Trentinny and Pendogget, St Mabyn and any other threat to our rural community and lively hood.

1. Please send cheque payable to Amble Valley Group to address below , or email me for account details.

2 .Please, please pass this information to any neighbours or friends that you feel are affected by these turbines or interested in preserving our special landscape..

Your sincerely,

Penny Kirkman
