THE QUEENS DIAMOND JUBILEE
SATURDAY 2ND JUNE 2012
St. Minver Parish Councils have come together to organise an event to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee on Saturday 2nd June. Starting with a royal theme procession assembling at St. Minver School from 1pm to march behind St. Minver band to Trewint playing fields, leaving at 1.45pm sharp. All are invited to join in the procession with prizes for the best fancy dress for various children’s age groups and also an adult’s prize too! Judging will be at the school at 1.30pm with prizes awarded at the playing fields at 3pm. Free flags & horns will be given to spectators along the route. Please support the procession with your encouragement along the route, it’s a long way for little legs!
Once at the playing fields there will be many activities to enjoy including face painting, car boot, games, stalls, plants, cakes, ice creams and a bouncy castle. There will be a tug o war competition at 4pm for teams of 8, please phone to book in your team. Entertainment will be provided by the Perceval players, performing at 3pm and St. Minver band will be playing throughout the afternoon. Sharps Brewery is providing a bar, the St. Minver football club will be serving Pimms and there will also be a BBQ run by the St. Minver pre-school. Car boot pitches are £5 a pitch, booking essential.
